@Instagram Partnership

For my work on the BuzzFeed @world Instagram, I was invited to partner with Instagram to guest curate the official @instagram account for International Women’s Day 2019. Throughout March 2019, @world and @instagram collaborated to find and highlight women around the world who are making an impact in their local communities and on Instagram, producing a wide variety of content from photo and video posts, IGTV videos, Instagram stories, to BuzzFeed News articles, a sample of which you can find below.

Some of the women featured on @instagram as part of the collaboration included Greta Thunberg, 16-year-old founder of Flexin’ My Complexion Kheris Rogers, Indonesian Muslim creator Rahmalia Aufa Yazid, and World Adaptive Surfing Champion Dani Burt.

Somali boxer Ramla Ali, Iranian photographer Parisa Pourtaherian, Nigerian photographer Yagazie Emezi, and Australian model Madeline Stuart were also featured on @world.
